Preventive medicine is not separate from hormone medicine — hormones are part of prevention when used intelligently. Cardiovascular risk stratification must precede therapy in men and women. Lipids, blood pressure, inflammatory markers, and thrombotic history inform monitoring intensity. Bone health remains under-treated in peri- and post-menopausal women and hypogonadal men. Hormones interact with calcium metabolism, muscle mass, and fall risk. Cognitive concerns bring fear and hope in equal measure. We should be honest: the literature is evolving. We cite it without overclaiming neuroprotection. Chronic disease prevention through hormones means longitudinal care, not one-time prescriptions.
